How to tell which Screen part you need for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 P600:

LCD Only: If the image under the glass is broken and the touch panel is NOT then you only need an LCD.
Touch Panel aka Digitizer: If the top touch panel or aka glass top is cracked or broken but the image under it is fine then you only need the Touch Panel.
Complete Screen with Touch Panel and LCD: If the top touch panel is broken and the lcd image is either black liquid or cracked you need a complete screen.

Very good, but pay attention to the contacts

Substitution of the LCD+Touch assembly was quite straightforward, but I admit to be an experienced repair guy. The only thing I needed to fix on the new part was one of the touch screen connectors: a "Quality Check" mark was stamped right on the gold plated contacts, right where it's supposed NOT to be. Cleaning with IPA easily fixed the problem; luckily I discovered it before putting everything back together with tape! General advice: perform a functional check BEFORE reassembly. Once everything was fixed, the final result was as good as new.

Digitizer & LCD screen combined

Initially I had a cracked digitizer but the tablet was still working. I decided to a DIY replacment of the digitizer £25 but found it difficult to replace and subsequently cracked the LCD screen - oops! Ordered a complete unit it, being digitiser & LC, it came after a while but undamaged and well packed although at £135 not cheap. I fitted the unit but it did not work? I fiddled with it but one of the securing tabs that hold the wiring tabs to the main board eventually refused to lock. It now lies in a box and I am currently mulling over my next move seeing that a repair may bring the total cost for repair close to that of a new Tab. I put my failure down to inexperience and my advice is to put your Tab for repair with someone who has experience, or chuck it in the bin and buy a new one!
