Steps for Realme X Tear Down

1. Remove the SIM card slot, we can see that there is no waterproof rubber ring on the SIM card slot.

2. Use a hot air gun to evenly heat the edge of the back cover, pay attention to the temperature not too high, after all, it is a plastic back cover, and then use a suction cup and a knife to open the seam.

3. We can see that the amount of glue on the rear cover of realme X is full, and the plastic back cover is relatively soft. It takes a little patience to remove it completely.

4. We can see how soft this plastic back cover is. Of course, such a soft back cover also means that the back of this phone is very drop-resistant.

5. There is a whole cover plate under the plastic, which is used to protect the mobile phone components and strengthen the structure. As long as we remove all the screws, we can pry off the back cover.

6. Different from ordinary mobile phones, the reinforced cover of realme X and the middle frame are connected together and need to be pried off from the side of the screen.

7. The lifting camera of realme X is different from the mobile phone we have disassembled before. The module is fixed on the cover and connected to the motherboard through the BTB.

8. We can compare and see that the front camera is fixed on the cover, and the rest of the components are placed on the side of the motherboard.

9. Next, we disconnect the power cable.

10. Then disconnect the sub-board, the screen and other BTB in turn.

11. It can be seen that there are foam wraps near the BTB interface of the motherboard, and the protection is so good.

12. After all cables are disconnected, the USB Type-C interface connected to the cable can be removed.

13.Disconnect the motherboard RF coaxial cable and remove the camera module.

14. Realme X uses a rear 48MP + 5MP cameras combination, the main camera CMOS is Sony IMX586, and the sub-camera lens is used to assist imaging.

15. After removing the cameras, we can remove the motherboard. After unscrewing this screw, the motherboard can be pried off.

16.Remove the motherboard, we can see the structure of the screen side.

17. We can see that the motherboard of Realme X is covered by a large number of heat-dissipating copper fins, and a lot of heat-dissipating grease is applied to the copper fins.

18. A lot of silicone grease is also applied to the middle frame of the phone to help this Snapdragon 710 dissipate heat.

19.Tear off the shielding copper sheet, we can see the Snapdragon 710 processor in the red frame and the Samsung memory chip in the blue frame.

20. Realme x has two earpieces arranged on the top. Among the models we disassembled, this design is the first one.

21. Then use quick release to remove the battery. The battery of realme X is provided by ATL, and the battery capacity is 3765mAh.

22. Next, let’s take a look at the lifting structure of the middle frame. The red frame is the lifting motor, and the blue frame is the cameras.

23. Unscrew the limit frame screw at the top to remove the rising cameras.

24. It can be seen that in order to strengthen the structure, realme X also added a metal frame outside the stepping motor and the lifting screw.
